A skateboarding game where the board is simulated and the city is just a city. Every trick comes out of the physics.
A physics skateboarding game, built by one person and shaped by the people who play it.
Nothing here is a canned animation. This is one flip, recorded in the game at 60 frames a second.
The board is one rigid body on four wheel probes. Its physics step 120 times a second, whatever your frame rate does.
Load the tail, then let go to pop. The flick sends the board over, and the feet lift out of its way.
The feet come back down onto the bolts. Nothing glues them there: a late catch is a late catch.
Landings are forgiving. Get the wheels roughly under you and the board settles and rolls away.

One fictional coastal city, skated end to end without a loading screen. Everything that skates is ordinary architecture.
PLAN · 2,632 BUILDINGS · 104 STREETSA pedestrian square at its heart, rings of buildings stepping down from it, four districts with their own character, and the sea, the hills and a motorway around the edge.

The test block, rendered in Unreal Engine 5. Open York’s districts are built from the same kit.
